Broken hard line between filter & IP
While changing the glow plugs (yes, they were bad - and cheap - guess I'll always have to do them myself from now on), I kinked and broke the hard line between the IP and the filter.
Can I use a braided line to replace it? It is not a braided line now. Anything else to be careful of as I cut off current and replace? Thanks for the help.

Are you talking about the clear plastic line? If so, it's only hard from age. Any hose should work.

Yeah, any hose is fine. I used the standard rubber fuel line that I used for everything else. Keep in mind if you do that, the hoses will get smooshy and have to be replaced earlier than if you use the viton lines.

If you replace it with the Blue lined fuel injection hose, it is more durable than standard fuel line, for both regualr diesel and for Biodiesel!
