It would about have to be 17 liters to be a truck engine wouldnt it?
The vw v10 is about 5 liters something that big. Only thing i could find is the current man engines which are v10 @ 18.3 liters fpr power generation interested figure that out 17 liters is huge

Yeah, that's what it says, but I'd be really surprised. MAN is a pretty big manufacturing company, and diesels are one of their products (it was paritally founded by Rudolf Diesel) so why would they buy motors from MB?

Buddy of mine drove a big MAN for supply convoys in the first Gulf war. Said that it was a HUGE air-cooled turbo diesel...
