Installing a '74 240D transmission into a '76 300D
I'm getting mixed opinions on this. Both cars are 115 series and I have some Mercedes Trans re builders telling me it's the same transmission and others tell me not to try it.
So my question is has anyone here tried to do this in the past and did it in fact work out alright? |

I am not certain if it would work perfectly, but both transmissions are 722.1xx variants of the old 4 bolt type, so they should be pretty close.
