Looks like a good thing to rescue that poor motor/trans out of and scrap! It looks like a really sloppy job, the wiring is all over the place, the exhaust comes up out of the hood?! Talk about LOUD.

The huge spider web in one of the pictures must mean he doesn't use it much!

I've seen that truck on some other forums. It sure is a raggedy beast, I'll tell you that!

I've always thought that would be a cool engine swap. That thing is a hacked together POS though.

I was thinking you could use it to swap into another since some of the stuff is already figured out, then I saw the pics after I posted . maybe if you could get it cheaper it would be worth it to put in a 2wd chassis

ain't no 4x4....front driveshaft is gone and no transfer case. looks real rough. only thing worth anything on that is for using as a rough guide to fabricate your own toyota-MB conversion. truck is junk...if the truck was nice then it would be another story...maybe.

and I'm headed real near austin tonight...but that thing ain't worth my time to go look at.

I have posted on this truck before, and know the guy who did the swap.[loosly] He is a really intelligent guy, but he lacks enough OCD to really plan for the job. It is more of a punch/counter punch kind of thing. He did that swap back in '05 best as I can remember. My old photos of it are somewhere.
It's certainly a hack job, and nothing anybody would want.
It's been on ebay and CL numerous times. Sounds like either he's moved, or the new owner is already unloading it.........
The "electrokirk" in his link is the original owner's ebay id.

Here's one old post

what's louder than a straight pipe?

**edit**
Yep, reading the CL ad this isn't the original owner. Sentence structure and vocabulary are all wrong for the guy who did the work.
He got a hold of this, probably from the ebay deal and can't wait to unload it....

Anybody notice that 1" square tubing attached from rear of the tranny extending back to the frame? That's original... Supposed to keep the fan out of the radiator when doing an endo?

Have you ever noticed there are people who can do major scary automotive work like getting the engine/tranny in, motor mounts & driveshaft etc., yet can't do finish work worth a darn. It's like Jimmy said - not enough OCD. If he'd spent just a little more time on the details that could've been a neat conversion.
