300SD turn signal/brake light problem

I have a 1980 300SD, turn signals and brake lights do not work, flashers do, parking lights do, head lights do, stem works for brights etc. Ive searched past threads and can't find any reference. I thought it was the turn signal relay until I realized the brake lights werent working either.
Any body got a guess? And can someone verify where the turn signal relay is?

This sounds like a problem with the hazard switch in the dash center. If you've done any work in that area recently, a check of the plug connection might solve the problem. Recently, I broke the hazard switch and had some similar problems. The note that causes me to scratch my head is that you mention the flashers work.

BTW, IIRC the flasher relay is behind the instrument cluster on the RH side.

(I'm using a schematic from an '82SD but I believe yours is similar in this case.)

Yeah the flasher was my first thought but the it works, my confusion comes from neither the turn signals nor brake lights are working. Thats why I was wondering if they are controlled by the turn signal relay?

for turn signal problem check your fuses then I would check your connections( in your cases C106), check g102(ground), check your combination switch, wires black/green/white to terminal 49a on hazard flasher (it connects to terminal 1 on flsher, black/red wire as well

brake light

the anwer is in those 2 wiring diagrams. Gonna have to elimante 1 thing at time in each of the circuits until the culprit is found.
