With me, a full tank of fuel, and all my junk in the trunk, my car weighs in around 4275 or so.....more in the winter because I toss about 200lbs in the trunk for extra traction.

Wheel horsepower... I don't see how you can accurately calculate power train loss.

I'd assume a power train loss of about 25-30hp....I thought I read that somewhere....gotta remember the other stuff leeching power too.....injection pump, vacuum pump, power steering, alternator.....water pump....fan....possibly the A/C.....thats a lot of junk. Then the fluid coupling of the TC....and the weight of the trans and driveline components. Its amazing its not more loss than that!
The dismal G-force readings I got were depressing. I can barely pull .4 G's in a straight line in 1st gear....it keeps dropping as the speed increases and when it changes gear. By 3rd gear its like .1 something. Oh well. Tis the diesel way. Stopping/cornering is another matter. I've pulled close to 1.5G's in a turn....and over 2G's during a real hard stop. Yeah! Gotta love the 900HP of brakes on a 120hp car!

I've always used this to calculate.
All you have to do is program the right #'s, and you're GTG. http://www.nightrider.com/biketech/accel_sim1.htm
