Dynolicious apple app...

I bought this program and test it out on my 300SD and here is the result.

0-10 1.61
0-20 3.35
0-30 5.01
0-40 6.99
0-50 9.42
0-60 12.16

Max speed on test 66.8 MPH
Max acceleration 0.40G's
Peak Horsepower 137

I know its not that accurate as a REAL Dyno drums, but its serves a good pocket Dyno tester...

Edit: i forgot to CALIBRATE it...

It's very accurate if you put the right vehicle weight in. I just had a thread using it

My Kenwood headunit's dyno said that I managed 89 hp to the rear wheels during a quick acceleration. Pretty accurate! It asks for the weight of the vehicle as well.

Look at the vin plate on your door. It should have weight on there. Sorry for the choppy sentences, using my iPhone.

Actually I just read a Car and Driver (I think) article where they compared it to a thousand dollar instrument they use to collect data for their articles and a G-tech and the I phone seemed to get better numbers than the G tech, and only a few percent off of the professional unit. It did seem to air on the high side though making the car look slower than it actually is.

for all u 300SD the weight is 4750 LBS, I ll do another test after calibration...Strange how the accelerometer, can measure all that info... Must be a really hard to make software imagine typing all the calculation formula and the code line...

89 HP for a 300D turbodiesel??? Have you calibrate it, Have you put the drivetrain loss because that makes up for the loss of hp when the power is delivered to the wheels

No way it weighs that much, should be around 3800 or so.

Edit: My 1982 Dealer brochure says 3780 lbs, man was I close!

Simply read the vehicle data plaque posted on the forward side of the B-Pillar and you will have your answer.

My 300SDL has a GVWR of 4880 lbs. That is the maximum FULL capacity.

Weight when empty WITH a full tank of fuel is 930 lbs off of that figure. About 3950 lbs.

Add your own weight to that figure, and the bunch of whatever junk you have in your car, and you will get your numbers.

In my case, it's about 4,130 lbs before hitting the go-pedal. And I've had it officially weighed to confirm this figure.
