In most cases, it is more cost effective to get another engine with less miles than it is to rebuild yours.

Depends on what you can do yourself and what you need done.

Another engine is just a crap shoot.

Not a stock rebuild, and I did not detail the basic rebuild process, so maybe not what you are looking for. But gives an idea of what can be done.
