Photo of my RV behind my S350

My daughter actually asked if I was going to bring the RV home this weekend after seeing this photo. I swear she must dye her hair black!

(Background info: I bought the RV yesterday to use on a contract job away from home. I do not own anything big enough to tow it. For some reason my daughter thought that I was going to tow it with the S350. It is a 39 foot park model RV that weighs 11,000 pounds empty!)

(I am not towing it with the S350! See post #5.)

Young people have no idea of how much something weighs, nor how much something will pull. They have no reason to........

Great way to total your car, trying to make it 10 feet or so.

Begs the question, though- does anyone here tow a smaller tag-along with their diesel?

I've been seriously toying with the idea of buying an old Shasta Compact or the like to tow behind my 300TD (which has a serious hitch already). Seems like a great way to get away for the weekend. I realize my brakes better be in excellent running order beforehand, but has anyone done similar?

Just for clarification, I am not towing the RV with my car! I do not have a hitch, and will not be putting one on it. The photo was intentionally set up to look like I was hooked up to it as a joke. I sent it in a Pix message to the family to let them know that I closed the deal on the RV. A friend with a F350 diesel dually is going to tow it to the RV park.

Europeans pull trailers with MB diesels as small as the 220d. I think the load limits for a 300TD are 1500lbs unbraked and 2500lb braked. A trailer like that should not be a problem.
