Thanks Jimmy...

Harborfreight is right smack in the middle of the skid row. I need to borrow an ugly car, or drive the Jeep.

Tyler --- just drive the Benz needing paint. Oh, wait, you don't have one, do you. You might be surprised what you find at Harbor Freight. I have stored in my phone the name and number of a guy with a 300SDL that could be bought. It's a project car in the future --- needs seats and paint.

Good day for the Defiant.

My generous glue application plugged the leak, and the car had its first oil drip free day. I used it for my school and daily errands, and got two compliments from strangers. It must be the newly refinished bundts.

The oil pan is replaced, thank goodness.

I had a little anxiety for the moment of truth to see what was in the pan, but luckily...

No metal shavings or ball bearings sitting down there. The Defiant is a happy camper.

Next, I really want to get rid of the green coolant. A citrus acid flush would probably be a good idea, right? What do I need to do?

Time to bust out the steam cleaner for the underside of the car.

When I cleared out the green stuff I just did a few flushes with clean water then filled her up with zerex.

I know that young guys like to have wood, but I'm starting to worry about you Tyler.
You are going from The Defiant to a Ferengi Freighter........

It is clean and a very cool color though....... [don't take that as an endorsement!!]

That's not the exact Wagoneer I'm hoping for, by the way...

I know, I know, Jimmy. You hate them. I just have to get it out of my system, since I've wanted one for many years.

Everyone I know who owned one had problems. My parents had one catch fire.

They're just so beautiful. I'm a Jeep fan, too, though my 04 Rubicon sees very little use.

Ferengi Freighter? Bah, I think of more as a Klingon Koloth class. Rugged, aggressive, built to kill everything in front of it and keep going.

and of course, my Rubicon is the bird of prey:

Not really an engineering marvel; more like a blunt instrument.
