it has the CONTROLS for adjustable euro lights... us importing put the us spec lights in... grrr.
not sure on the switch yet, gotta dig in and figure out what's there.
um... on the $500 offer... tempting... but no.

heh. I had to tell the PO what the noise was when he turned on the headlights... the trunk vacuum ballast was venting into the now nonexistant headlight adjusters... gotta find that leak and plug it. or put in true euro lights!

looking at the switch, it resembles the window control icon... but the rear windows are manual... hmmm gotta figure out that one.

After breakfast I'll go out and check my "85" owner's manual and see it theres anything about that switch.

all my family is seriously thinking I'm insane for trading a running wagon for a non running car... bwahaahaahahaaa!
I traded my 79 TD with moderate rust spots and HOLES in the rear fenderwells for this fine euro 240 D with a shattered cam...
the guy said he had a oil pressure regulator fail on the car, and drove it too long that way. he replaced the oil pump and regulator finally, but he thinks the damage was already done from inadequate oil pressure for too long. I'll pull the lower pan and look for bearing shell residue, and pull the cam/towers and replace and see if she's a go... or just pull it and slap in a turbo 300 not sure...

My owners manual shows the rear courtesy lamp switch in that position. On the right hand drive model it shows a "fanfare horn control"

switch in that position. Maybe thats it

yeah, I'm thinking somebody switched the buttons for something in the past, I bet it turns on the rear lamp. I'll check it out. I've never seen a button like that in a 123 before. just a 126...

Jack is correct. I wouldn't let you in.....but then again, I'm not in.

But the REAL club you need to be in vstech, is the "Car on Side" club. How did you get your car parked on the side like that?

Thanks for the picture. My tractor has a triangle like that, but it has 8 speeds, not 5. Unfortunately, 4 of them are granny gears, and the all but one of the rest are ultra granny gears.

my handle is LutzTD, but I have a CD, so there is the prerequisite trunk triangle. Although the like new triangle is now sagging a bit in the florida sun. the 5 speed is on the garage floor awating the modified shifter and 300 flywheel thats out to balance. Maybe 2-3 weeks I will have the membership requirements for this ultra exclusive club. but my knob will be polished wood, as in Zebrano, so it will only be the smile that tells the tale.

are you sure it's not a MB trunk triangle... just the white center was removed... stinking US importerscould have cut it out... I have a WAGON trunk triangle... with the white center... the fold up style in the yellow rubber canister...
oh, and did you guys notice the tow hitch?... heh.
