1983 240d Accessory belt sizes

I've been cruising around the site but I cant seem to find a consistent length for the two accessory belts (alternator/water pump). I think the alternator belt is longer than the pump one...right?

anyone know? I lost the alternator belt on the road the other day so i can't bring it in

Thanks,

Sean

Depending on your trans. It is either 13x1000mm or 13x1030mm for the water pump/crank/alt.

oops, 1981 240d

I have a standard 4 gear transmission. its actually a 1981 240d, not a 1983. I don't know if that changes anything...

edit: I checked the VIN and it looks like its got Engine 616912 10 231391 and Transmission 000835 75

Your best bet would be to remove them, and measure 'em at a auto parts store, many have a gauge.
