Beautiful car. I think the SDLs look really impressive on the road. Especially in a dark color.

Which one gets the garage?

The SDL will not fit in the garage... I measured it would stick out by 3"

I'm going to put the ambers on and see how they look.

I'm hunting for some euros as we speak. Plus I got it insured tonight. My insurance went down $40 for having the SDL.. Pretty sweet eh.

Did you try parking it in there? Maybe you could put a hole in the front of the garage and let the point of the front bumper stick into your house.

Okay, Joe, do you really want these:

the email

I've noticed the windshield wipers have a weird sweep. Not like the typical w123 sweep. How do you get the headlight wipers to work?

Headlight wipers work when you squirt the windshield washer\headlight washer. Your SDL has 2 washer pumps --- one for windshield and one for headlights.

Trying to remember if headlights have to be on or not.

It might only run them if you wash the window when the headlights are on. Thats how it works on my 300E....

They don't have a "Weird" sweep, they have an excellent sweep. I've always thought the wipers on a W123 were kinda 1940's style.....

Turn the lights on, and press the stalk in to activate the washer. The headlight wipers will activate when the lights are on.

More modern and much better. Don't worry you'll get used to it. And in time you'll find that all cars being built today are crap by comparison

Good for you, Joe. I know Hattie's car has found a good home. It's great looking.
