Wiper blade for 1993 300D 2.5
What wiper is everyone using on their w124s? Are all w124s single wiper systems? I went to Advanced Auto and they didn't have Bosch Icons listed for my 1993 300D 2.5. Neither does Bosch's website. From reading, I'm guessing I'll need a 24" wiper.
I've read some people have used the Bosch Icon wipers, but which one (A or B)? Any issues with fitment? Advanced Auto had a Trico Neoform wiper that was listed in the computer, but I would rather get the Bosch Icon wiper (I have them on my VW Golf TDI), unless someone has a better alternative. |

on my '90 300D I use a Rain-ex 24 " . If I recall you correctly you have to get a little plastic adapter to fit it on the arm.

The 124 body are all the mono-wiper, 24".
I tried the Rain-X one on one of my 124s this fall, it didn't flex enough and misses a lot of the windshield on both sides. The other 124 got the Bosch Icon, which failed in a week or two and scarred the bottom of the windshield in the center. It flexed better than the Rain-X but not enough to get all of the way out to the ends of the blade. The fix for both cars was to get the standard metal-frame Bosch wiper which flexes properly, and doesn't shear from improper flexing/pressure like the Icon did. The standard OE Mercedes wiper on one of my cars is also a Bosch metal-frame wiper (has the Mercedes star on it also). Skip the Icon and Rain-X.

I went with the cheapest 24" wiper blade they had at Wal-Mart. Works fine for me. I get about 6 month out of a blade.
