Nice gathering guys. I had a great time for the few hours I could stick around. I regret I had to get back to Atlanta but it was great fun while I was there.

To all I met there, thank you for a great time. My wife ended up having to hang around for a while, due to some scheduling difficulties, and had a good time as well. I got some good ideas for moving my SDL along back to top form and should have it running a little better and looking better the next go-around. Maybe by September I can have the 300SD running and get my son to bring it over.

Pierre was an unexpected bonus with the on-the-spot diagnostics. I could hear the squeeking from the front end as I drove up. He thinks it's a spacer that needs to go behind the idler pulley. I'll let you know if that works for all the SDLers out there who might run into this down the road.

Again, I had a great time and look forward to the next one!

TheDon, the car looks so much nicer with the Euro corners!

I just got home actually, the trip back went fine, but after that it went downhill. As most of you know, I had an issue with my ignition coil in the Unimog late Saturday Night (Early Sunday Morning - 1AM). It died on the way home from my warehouse, I left it in a office parking lot with the permission of the head security guard. He said as long as I got it out of there by Monday (work day) it would be fine. So on my way back home I stop to retrieve the Unimog only to find it gone. Finally found the day security guard, said the night guard (who I talked to) had it towed this morning. So I have spent all night getting it back $225 later. They towed it to a yard 30 minutes from my house/warehouse, and I had to wait another three hours for the short handed company to get a driver to the yard.

Well putting the e-brake/lockers/reverse/4wd on doesn't really help when there is no key to lock the cab. :p

I did leave the sirens on in the hopes someone would turn the ignition, lol.

Well, I just got home, and wanted to jump on here to say it was great meeting you guys!

by the looks of some of those pictures, I missed a couple fine cars.... but maybe the next time around?!

I have a few pictures I'll sort thru tonight and post in the morning....

its been a night.... I make it to clearwater beach, there is an accident, so I have to turn around and find another bridge... over that one, yet another accident but they're just directing traffic around said accident, well.... the guy sweeping the street must have missed some streetlamp glass.... so off to a tire shop in the morning

discovered this tonight that it was the first use for my jack & spare
