looking for a bad W123 ignition tumbler
 

Anyone have a bad W123 ignition lock tumbler they can part with? I need one to figure out how to take apart and make a key from it. If you send me one, I promise to take pictures and post what I learn.

I have a spare one.

Is it a working or non working one? Do you have the key? I prefer non working since I do not want to destroy a good one.

Its working and has a key.

Is the switch you have not the original? If it is original, The dealer will cut one for your car for like 20 bucks off of your vin number? You could also get the tumbler if thats messed up for just a few bucks. Your going to spend a lot of time messing with that junk one.

I have already fixed my bad tumbler in the 240D. I am looking for another tumbler to figure out how to take it apart since I do not want to break mine. This is so that I can make my worn tumbler work like new. I do not know if mine is the original or not. Dealer made key from VIN may or may not work so it's a crap shoot.

I have one from an '83 300D. PM me if you need it. It worked, but the key kept getting stuck.
