83 300sd ck this out.

Bought a non runner the other day. Starts up fine but none of the pulleys on the front turn. Has anybody seen this before?
I'm guessing the keyway on the harmonic balancer is sheared.
Has anyone got a horror story that relates to this.

I think there's been a few recent threads on it. Is the motor healthy enough to justify the work, or are you going to swap?

Previous owner said that when it overheated, pulled off of road, and had it towed and sat since. Today I took a quick glance with a mirror and light and the bolt is still in the end of crank but the outer portion of harmonic balancer spins without turning inner part on crank.
Didn't know if anyone has had the keyway shear before???
