Why are tie rods green?

Looking at the replacement tie rod assemblies.

One is green, one is black.

This weekend brings an Oil Change, Tire Rotation (did I mention I love the Bridgestone RE960AS tires?) new brake pads, rotors, rubber hoses, calipers, fresh DOT4, tie rod assemblies, drag link, idler bushings, and steering stabilizer. Also gonna put new Transmission Cooler lines on her and have price out some new Bilsteins for the fronts.

When I get dealer parts, the left has always been green and right black (124, 126); however, when both are the same (108), they are black.

These are Mercedes OE tie rod assemblies.

Just looks odd when you crawl under it and see one green and one black assembly.
