W126 Tilting Sunroof headliner

The headliner panel on my sunroof is not clipped on the right side so it flops around and wont allow for it to tilt open unless I hold it up.

How do I clip it back in? I cannot see where it would clip.

Wonder if you need new "upper clips".

If it's like the W123 the headliner slides in some groves on the sides and only clips in the front.

its different, the W126 sunroof tilts.

Joe, you probably need those clips I showed you, 001 988 09 81. Have you pulled the entire thing out yet to look?

oh yeah, Its pretty sweet. The tilting and then... it slides back too... I like my sunroof's tilt feature. Helps keep the car cool when parked and get the hot air out when waiting for the AC to get cold

I haven't removed the panel because its kinda ok but it bothers me. I can't really see where it would clip.. I might just leave it until sunday so someone that knows what they are looking at can help me out.

well it does appear that the back end has came off the rail on the passenger side soooo I need to remove it completely and put it back on properly.
