As best as I could tell the joint split apart. I will take pics. I returned the last one I bought because the bolts were half backed out of the joint. I have bought 3 of these, one in wifes car 2 in mine. I will be backing out the ones I have and putting blue stuff on them.

what about NAPA drive shafts? I am looking to get a pair for the TD but it sounds like I want to steer clear of advance.

I replaced mine this past spring with NAPA rebuilds. One failed almost immediately (sprayed blue grease all over the bottom of the car). The replacement and its pair have been working fine for 1000 miles. They took the broken one back with no trouble. For $100/piece, if these two work for a while I'll be happy.

I am at 347k, rolling.

My (GMP?) advance auto CV's were installed at 199k in my driveway. The clips did fit weird, but overall build quality looked pretty good.

Now: (1.5yrs later, at 216k) I have discovered that the tan coating was NOT an anti-rust coating, as the socket head cap screws holding the annular axle together are rusted into the axle, making it a one-piece deal.

Other than that, no weird noises and I haven't exactly been gentle on them. Weeping at the differential seals(Maybe-it could be splatter from my latest engine leak)

What type of Warranty comes with them?
