Questions about buying new injectors

Hello,

I plan on buying 4 new injectors for my 240D. After I buy them, is there anything I need to do to them prior to installing?

I have seen information on pop testing and so on, and was wondering if this is only done for new "used" injectors, or all injectors used or new? Thanks for any help.

Hello always remember to get new heat sheilds for the injectors, also while you are doing this you might as well replace the fuel return lines. New injectors are supposed to be pop tested but I would personally have them checked just incase. However if you want to save yourself some money you can have your injectors rebuilt or just order some rebuilt injectors from bgkast, I hear he does great work and it will save you quite a bit of money. But thats just my 2 cents worth. Good luck.

Depends on the brand you buy. If you are buying new injectors you should be able to just install them, however some have reported that new BOSCH injectors have been bad out of the box.

You should also install new heatshields below each injector.

I have not heard of any issues with new Monark injectors, but I also have not heard of many people have used them yet.

New Monark nozzles installed and pop tested...

In your holders (much less expensive than whole new injectors)
The Nozzles are the "Wear" items in the Injectors.
