81 300sd Glow Plug question

I am not getting this 81 to start. I do not have any voltage at the big fuse at the relay module.
All GP's are 1.1 ohm or less.
I have removed the instrument cluster. Is that why? any other ideas?
Does someone have a schematic for this that I could get a copy of?

Thanks

The cluster should have no effect. Try swapping the relay out with one from your '85.

You've got to recheck this on both sides of the fuse. It's inconceivable that there is no voltage coming into the relay because the power comes directly from the starter via a couple of terminal blocks. There is no switch or fuse before the glow plug relay.

If your Relay looks like the one in the pic you should get Battery Voltage at all of the screws with the Key Off.

On my 84 300D on the small connector the Red/Black wire brings the (+) voltage to the Relay when the Key is in the Pre-Glow position and the Purple (Violet) wire gives (+) voltage to the Relay while the Starter is cranking.

I will check again tonight,
But there was no power at either end of the fuse. So I am guessing this comes from the starter to the block behind the right headlight, then off into the abyss to return to the GP relay?
Anyone know which wires at the block are for this?
Maybe I have a bad wire. Also the bat. is draining quickly when trying to start it. but that may not be related.

This if for my 84 300D. The 1st pic is from the power distrabution section the other is the Pre-Glow wiring diagram. (If the wire is not broke right at the Relay or there is no internal open in the Relay itself you could run your own (+) wire from the Relay to the battery just to see if it works and to get the car running.)
