Those with a 300D Turbo Manual Conversion - Top Speed?

Has anyone with manual 300D conversions verified top speed with a GPS unit?

I'd like to see some top speed numbers. Anyone have numbers and proof?

Depends on the rear end ratio more than anything.

At some point the final gear ratio is going to overwhelm the motor due to air resistance and inertia of the car so I was wondering what others were getting.

You are on the verge of over-thinking an irrelevant point......

If 105 is the question, is 110 the answer? Are you near an Autobahn that we're not familiar with?

There's no overthinking this one. I wanted to see how much speed a manual 300D turbo can attain.

I wanted to see what others were getting so that I can see where my car lands on the map whenever it's complete.

No Autobahns around here just a lot of German towns....Kiel, New Berlin, Rhinelander, Germantown...etc

Sounds like some good brats could be had, along with maybe your favorite German beverage. You might want to be sure and slow down in that area.....

My 300d euro with 307 diff will go 100 in fourth. When it had the 346 it would go 100. NOw that it has a fifth gear I have not tried it but I bet its quicker in fourth than fifth for top speed.

With a turbo I bet about 110 is about right.

I run 90 sometimes in the morning. thats in fourth with a 2.47 at around 3500 RPM It feels like it has a little more. I would think 110 would be achievable but I bet it would take a while to get there on a flat. by extrapolation my RPMs would be around 4600 at 110

Was that recorded via GPS or some other verification method on your car or are they extrapolated numbers?

Yeah I miss the brats (MMMMM), it's too damn snowy and cold to start the grill up over at my in-laws.

We kill a lot of people here on the roads which scares me. It's tough to tell who's drunk and who's dring like an idiot (cause many do yammering on their cell phones). You know it's bad when the paper runs a column on the front page for a whole month.

But not a 240D. I know the OM617 engines very considerably in condition and that the auto transmissions sap power since they are non lockup designs.

I did 110 in my NA euro. I have yet to hit that in the 85 as I have no pyro and am skeered. I have hit 100+ easy though.
