Strange brake pedal problem
My power brakes work fine unless you hold the pedal down hard or hit it fast. If you do this it will make a hiss and the pedal will push back against you. For a few seconds there is vacuum loss and the brakes are manual. It will then build back up and power brakes will perform as advertised again. I checked the one way check valve and it is holding fine. Any other ideas. Paul

I haven't got my "Haynes" handy but there is a simple procedure in there for checking the booster.

Ok, I do have a rebuilt one. I need to find the method of checking mine before I swap 'em. I think this is it though. Thanks
