Crushing Gina. What should I keep?

I'm getting rid of the rusted out hulk of a shell that is now Gina.

some time during the weekend, some hooligans jumped on the hood, kicked in the windshield smashed my two passenger side windows, but spared the rear window. they were caught but will probably only get a slap on the wrist..

Anyway, I'm gonna crush it. what should I keep? what parts if any do you guys want? 116.120 chassis 617.95X diesel 400,000+ Km.

I know I will need the rear window.

Me! Me! ----power antenna, if it's good. :) Find those little ******* address and show them the meaning of "what goes around, comes around"! You are going to press charges, aren't you? If you don't, they'll think they're bullet proof and some other poor shmuck will get it next time. I'd kick their asses if they did that to my property! And I'm usually a passive kind of hell raiser.

My power antenna wasn't working when I parked the car.

the vehicle isn't currently under registration so there isn't a damn thing I can do. I like in a city just 150Km north of what stat's canada calls Canada's no 1 most dangerous city in canada.

Vandalism like this is common here, but our centralized insurance pays well. Just 3 weeks ago the rear window was smashed in my van.

You mean you can't get them for property damage? I would go for the blue book value of the car at least...

PanzerSD 03-09-2009 10:03 PM

Lol you havn't seen the car :D
it's bare metal on drivers quarter, missing rocker on that side, sans fender and drivers door. tail lights are out. seats are out. headlamps are out.

the offenders will go thru the justice system, possibly the juvenile justice system.

The average gang member here is 15-20 years old. the older ones are either dead or in jail.

should I keep things like the brake calipers and rotors? or just keep my list to the things that aren't readily available to me locally.? Or if anyone wants anything.

Man, that sounds rough. And I thought everything was nice and peaceful up in Canada.

TylerH860 03-10-2009 01:02 AM

Canadian gang members? Who woulda thunk it?

PanzerSD 03-10-2009 01:07 AM

How do I get this thread moved to general discussions?

PanzerSD 03-10-2009 01:20 AM

Yeah, I've heard the bit about how americans know fairly little about canada.
I'll give you some local statistics here...

In 2007 The local pulp mill here closed. about 4500 jobs lost.
in the next three months the suicide rate skyrocketed from 1-2 a year to 3 a month.

When I was a kid living here, seeing a police car going down the street was a rarity. now the cops wave at me when they drive by to a call.

Prince Albert is a small city, about 35-40,000 people. 48% are Aboriginal. Of those, at least 50% have a felony record, are out on parole, or at large.
Hells angels are thru regularly, Ching-a-lings set up shop a couple years ago (local crime rate plummeted ) we got pilgrims, car thieves, drug dealers...you name it..but what city doesn't have it's problems.
Saskatoon, to the south being labeled as the #1 most dangerous city in Canada doesn't bid well for us, since the ones being bad in saskatoon are from Prince Albert. two RCMP officers were gunned down in a small town not far from here..it's getting bad.

the rapper 50cent won't come to saskatoon because he says that the gangs are out of control.

Lately I've been seeing Sudanese gang signs popping up here and there..that is scary, refugees coming from a war torn country, already conditioned for violence trained to use military equipment..

on a positive note, My Mercedes it the only slice of civility I have left :D
