Now I didn`t think about taking my wife to PNP on our wedding day, but I did take her on our 22nd anniversary last may, pulling parts for daw-two.

Had to take her to Phills Fish Market for lunch in moss Landing. great place to eat.

Charlie
and I must say.....I REALLY appreciated the efforts!!!

As did I ... You're at least a little obsessed when you go straight to the computer to read random and irrelevant pages on this forum after walking in the door from an overnight shift, instead of catching up on sleep ...

I just went and popped the top of my Heinz bottle to get the full effect. Yep, definitely giggle worthy. I'll show it to my wife later.

I've been thinking about getting a giant vinyl star cut for my shop wall after I get it painted, and even want to lay down porcelain tile in the parking bay I plan to build for the Mercedes. That has to mean something.

Here's another sign of obsession that I forgot to mention... When your wife wakes you up because you're muttering in your sleep about Mercedes. This has happened to me twice.

I've actually had several nightmares involving my car's demise, from which I wake up yelling. The most memorable were one where the car slid out the back of a cargo plane, and I was trying to pull it back in by the bumper, to no avail (why in was in a cargo plane, I do not know) and one where someone made a bomb out of broccoli (yes, broccoli, my favorite vegetable) and put it in my trunk.

Some other signs of insanity:
You have three brochure covers framed stylishly gracing the wall in your living room.
You've ever accidentally called your cat -- or a friend -- by your car's name.
You're Facebook profile picture is a picture of your car.
You've ever taken a Haynes manual along as reading material on a long train trip.
Every time you see a peace sign, you just want to white out that extraneous line at the bottom.
You get mad whenever someone writes Mercedes-Benz in formal text without the hyphen.
Upon seeing a hot 300SL gullwing parked at a shopping center, you park your 300D next to it and get out to take a picture of them together.
You know your MB's VIN numbers off the top of your head without pause.
You get asked on a regular basis, "So, do you work at the Mercedes dealership?"

1) when you go look at CL cars (Mercedes diesel, of course) for sale while on vacation

2) when you actually consider buying one just to drive while on vacation (flew in)....

How about trying to justify spending more money and time to drive to my next festival gig instead of flying?
I mean, 36 hours driving the SD, AND getting to see it parked backstage. It would only cost a few hundred extra and an extra 2 1/2 days!

The car would really look great next to all those tour buses.

Of course, after reading this thread, maybe I'll start checking the craigslist there and buy one when I get in.

Had to edit with yet another great example.
Guy posted looking for advice on getting his first MB diesel, he is in Ohio.
I just spent the last 15 minutes scanning Cleveland/Akron craigslist and sent a few links. Now, I just need to get to Cleveland for the last one I saw.

...it gets above freezing so you wash and wax your car, and finish the wax job at 2:00 AM
