Steering Gearbox Leaks

When I bought my 300SD it had a leaky power steering pump. I refilled it a LOT before I was able to pull it off and refresh the seal.

Unfortunately, at one point I had to put Tranny Fluid into the pump as I couldn't get any PS Fluid and I was way too low.

My seals are now gone on my Steering Gearbox...I fill the pump up and after a couple days my driveway is full of the fluid.

Will the Gearbox rebuild kit take care of all of this, and has anyone done it?

Thanks....

Consider this -

Clean it and see if it's leaking from the seal around the pitman arm shaft. If so, you can replace that seal without pulling the steering box.

Thanks Sixto.
