1979 300D Updated Pencil Glow Plugs- No light/Won't Start...?
Aloha, I replace the old loop style GPs following DieselGiants tutorial several years ago. I put in the updated pencil style and haven't had an issue.
Currently the car won't start. I checked the plugs and all read .652 resistance which according to most is perfectly fine. I checked for power pre and post strip fuse and at each glowplug connection at the engine. All are getting power of 11.5v or so. I am about to pull some of the plugs to check them manually. Is there anything else that I should consider. I thought about the relay under the dash but considered this probably not to be the issue as the plugs are getting power. Thanks and any thoughts are welcome. Will

Odd. If they're getting power I'd look for a fuel problem or a compression problem, although the fact that the glowplug light is not functioning seems unusual.

Update
Well, I got one out and even though it was reading .652 resistance it doesn't work. So I'll pull the rest and replace them.
