The master cylinder in my 1985 300SD is slowly failing. Been looking around for one but getting TWO parts numbers.

One is 004 430 09 01. The other is 004 430 26 01. Which is correct and THANKS guys!

I looked and there's no indication of one of those parts superseding the other. There is an older part number that was replaced by the two numbers you give however.

I can see why you'd want to be sure of the number as there's a big price difference between the two parts...

Maybe Roy will have better luck.
