Oil pan drain bolt

Anyone know the metric specs on this?

I knew the threads on my oil pan were bad when i did my first oil change on the SD. Now its to a point where i cant tighten it enough without dripping. I got my new oil pan and the drain plug doesnt fit so I think its safe to assume the PO had the wrong size drain plug in there and that stripped the threads out. YaY

I don't know the specs, but did you put in a copper crush washer?

My local hardware store has a selection of hardware in drawers. One of the drawers has metric oil drain plugs. Take your spare oil pan to such a place, or to a friendly local auto parts store, and match one up.

Or you can always order the real thing from that parts store or from Fastlane etc.

Not something I have out of the car right now, so I can't measure it. You may want to buy one.

If you were closer I could make one for you in about 10 minutes. Or I could measure your old one so you knew what to get.

Too bad you aren't; gotta love machine shops open on saturdays

IIRC there are a couple of MB wrecking yards in the Cypress and 14th St area.

12x1.5mm. You can get these for a couple bucks online but you probably can't wait at this point...
