Question Oil Capacity 85 300sd 5cyl

I don't have the owners manual for this car and am having trouble finding fluid capacity specs. Could anyone tell me what the engine oil capacity is for this car and where i could download the spec sheets for same?

I put in 6 quarts and start the engine, let it idle for a minute, stop and let things settle, then top off from there. It takes about 7.5 quarts total, I don't fill all the way to the top of the dip stick. Factory spec is 8 quarts, I believe.

Two gallons fills my 617 to the top mark on the dip stick.

I usually add 1 gallon and a quart and that brings me exactly between the lines
