HUGE SENSOR!! Could be used as a weapon. '75 300D

I just had to have it.

Walked by an old dog at Pull-a-Part and saw it there just under the glow plugs, between #2 and #3. Marked 70 degrees C. I suppose it connects to the water temp gauge. 36mm wrench size.

Looks like you could use it on the Space Shuttle or Hoover Dam........Aircraft Carrier maybe? Anybody know why it's so big?

35 years ago sensors may have been a little less refined than they are today...

I just took a nice picture, but can't figure out how to post it.

Nothing on my page says, "manage attachments", and the 3 page instructions in Forum Help on how to do it, don't really speak my language.


Is there an easier way?

the big temp sensor is for the glow plug relay. The pin connector goes to the relay, the hard wired cable connects to the #1 GP if it still has loop type plugs.
