Norm's Triumphant Return... Oh Colin was there too

I've really enjoyed Colin and Norm's visit this weekend. I've tried to keep him entertained in this boring, flat town, but there's not much to do. Seeing watchmen at the drive-in was fun, Norm and Zippy always compliment each other well. Unfortunately, I don't have any photos of this, I made up for that as you'll see below.

Norm's Saggy waggy issues were easily solved by adjusting the level on the valve. As you can see in the photos, it appears to be very strong. We backed it off some after the pictures to level it out.

I had to take the opportunity to photograph every Mercedes I've ever owned. I don't know if this is an accomplishment or a visual confirmation of my sickness.

Keeping all the keys straight while shuffling them around was a challenge:

Taking pictures of all the cars is one thing. Shuffling them around in between is another.

Yep, you caught something.

Did someone climb onto that lightpole to take that semi-aerial pic?

And drag Pierre to the barbers too...

Glad you got the "Saggy Waggy" thing fixed. I know it concerned Colin. Now send him on his way to So CAL.

Colin gave his new veggie filtration device a shot this evening:

Jimmy, his veggie sucking gun is almost as impressive as your flex boot gun.

The pump for his filtration device runs off a car battery, so Ol' Turbo's lovely new white battery was drafted into service.

Look at this system in its own self contained pod. It shouldn't make a mess, right?

The initial test, going back into the original crud tank:

Success!!! For about 10 seconds, then the veggie slowed down to a crawl.

Dejection:

More Dejection, and rain:

Colin's new system will not prime enough to have a decent flow. We eliminated the pump as the issue, so it seems something within the filter itself is letting air in. His new system is advertised to filter up to 6 gallons a minute, but we only managed about 6 in an hour. Colin and I managed to dump a few quarts of veggie down the driveway as well. Hopefully I won't get a nastygram from the HOA.

Yeah, VegPower better have a great answer to why this isn't working properly, because as simple as it is it can really only be something filter related. Boy is this stuff exciting!

By the way, Ol' Turbo is really really nice! Trigger is great too, VERY smooth and quiet. After driving the turbo cars it makes me really consider getting one in the future.

Well, Colin is gone, but he left me something to remember him by.

Its a slippery mess, but its way too windy for kitty litter to stay put right now. Storms are supposed to come tonight, so hopefully it will wash it away. This just confirmed my thoughts on veggie oil being too much of a messy business to deal with.

For some reason, photobucket won't recognize that I've rotated the photos when I upload them, and the edit screen won't load for me so I can fix them there. Just tilt your head for now.

I decieded to replace one of my flower beds with river rock, allowing me to fit 2 cars behind the fence. I'm really going above and beyond to keep my neighbors happy and not look like I have a car lot out front.
