European Corner Lights

i know that the bosch euro corners say "E1" on them, but what about the hellas? are they the same in construction, color, and style as the bosch? i have a guy in england with a pair and i am about to make an offer if they are the darker orange style. thanks!

I didn't even know that their was a Hella branded corner lamp. You learn something new every day, I suppose.

Here's a decent photo of a Bosch Euro corner that you could use. The Hella flavoured version should be the same colour if it is a Euro version.

are the w123 and w126 Euro corners the same? If so, I've got a set.

No, W123 and W126 corner lights are not the same.

Euro corner lights are more red and do not have a side reflector in them.

i see......

another question, what's the procedure for making the bulb fit in the euros? the socket shape and size is different, right?

The Federal sockets will twist and lock right in to a Euro lamp. At least, mine do. If you're not converting the function of the lamp, you'll be set with just the lenses.

You can use the old US DOT sockets, just cover the other contact (on the bulb) with electric tape. Trial and error should yield the correct one.

Or move the appropriate pin in the connector to the headlamp connector for the city lamp :)
