OVP relay or starter problem?
One of my 87's has a slow idle, how can i differentiate between bad OVP relay or a slugish starter?
I have my old OVP relay , but i did change the fuse, does the OVP relay go bad even with a new fuse? can i use a OVP relay from a gas w124?? Thank you

A slow idle has nothing to do with the starter. You may have a problem with the ELR on the IP. Try removing the two-wire plug from the ELR (red thing at the back of the IP) and for a second or two ONLY, apply 12 volts across the two pins of the ELR. The idle speed should increase. If it does, the ELR is good but the signal is not getting to it from the controller. If not, the ELR may be bad. There is a similar thread active in this forum now.
