I sure wish we had cool junkyards around here. I would like to go scrounging for stuff like that.

Pretty cool...

So.... where is the hitch?

Alastair 03-31-2009 04:04 PM

Looks good, I have one like that on my wagon....

But as they say, Where is the hitch and bracket to chassis??:(

winmutt 03-31-2009 04:50 PM

Like FI said, where's the hitch? That sticker is priceless.

PS you will need to internally reinforce the trunk as it was in the donor.

I need one for a 560 SEL! That way I can drive one and tow one.....Out of CA when the time comes.....LOL!

Hey Jammybugger,

165lbs is nothing for the bumper, thats barely a dolly in trailer weights. The euro hitch bolts directly to the bumper mounts on the frame so reinforcement shouldn't be necessary unless you plan to go heavier, like Randy does with his 300TD. :D

The hitch is not on the towbar...looks like it was never used.It is drilled to accept it though.Dont even know if I will put it on my 300d sedan...wasn,t thinking of towing anything! It is a cool find though...never seen this before.

It just attached to the frame no modifications on the donor car.....:)

Euro hitch will have 50mm ball which isn't quite the same as 2 inches.

jammybugger 07-03-2009 12:35 PM

Selling this anyone interested?
