darn. the transmission ended up being a 4 speed. but, might still get it for all the euro linkage if i can get it cheap enough. might be cheaper than cutting linkage -by the time i'm buying all the supplies and milage. must call him today.

I dont believe MOST Euro 300s came with 5 speeds, There have been many euro 300s around here in the past few years and not one had a 5 speed.

Yes 5 speed was rare on everything but AMG or GD.

dont sweat the linkage, it should be correct as it is out of a 300D, you only have to cut linkage to move the manual trans from a 240 to a 300, even if yuou do its very simple, you just run a die up 4 inches on the link and then cut 4 inches off the end. I found sears dies to work well and have threaded 6 linkages with still the same die.
