Did you paint the cladding and bumpers yourself? I always wanted to have that look on my car.

I like the attention to detail on the "Bendix". Tells me a lot about the rest of the car.

Same here, looks real good! Eventually when I replace my calipers I may paint them too, even though they can't be seen due to the Bundts.

It's a joke.

I Photoshopped the monster truck suspension on a poorly done camper conversion that was being sold on CL. I also made it green and put the vehicle in a camping setting instead of the parking lot it was in originally.

Thanks. I could have made it undetectable, but I wasn't getting paid to do it so I didn't take the extra time.

Here's the untouched pic:

EDIT: Sorry for the hijack Bryan. I really like what you did with your calipers.

I've seen painted calipers before, and thought they looked nice. This is a good reminder that they don't have to be that soft red-brown rust tint.
The paint kit came with some cleaner, I think it was just brake cleaner though. I sprayed the caliper and scrubbed it with a wire brush. If I were doing it again I would just spray the new calipers with some high-temp paint before I put them on the car.

Just think what the 14" bundts looked like.

The OD of these tires on the 16" wheels is the same as the OD of the stock tires that came on the bundts.

I tried the silver hi temp paint on some brake rotors (just the hubs, I masked off the rest) and it started coming off a few months later. They were brand new rotors, no rust. Cleaning any rust is very important esp on a caliper if there is brake fluid residue you will have to clean it really well before any kind of paint is applied.
The two-part red epoxy paint made for calipers is still holding up on my '87 brake upgrade. Seems the two-part stuff is much higher temp and sticks better than anything they sell in a rattle can.

I've painted my new rotors with hammerite paint. Idea is that the only area in contact with the pad is exposed. The pads cut off the paint, and you're good to go.
BTW, I know the kid in the brake job is a helper, but I'd suggest not having him near that brake clean.. Lukemia comes to mind with developing cells. It's not good for grown ups either, but surely not a child.
