Painted my Calipers

I put new calipers on the SD a few weeks ago and they were already starting to rust. With the way my new wheels show the calipers so well I decided to try painting them today. I used a silver Duplicolor caliper kit and high temp black for the accent. It seemed to work well, hopefully it will hold up, but at least they look better than before.

What do you think?

It's the flash, there are no groves big enough to catch a finger nail on.

No Bundts for me!

16"x7" wheels with a ET34 offset will fit. These are from a C class.

Nice!

I have painted a couple of my cars calipers red. Its pretty eyecatching and a nice little jewell like highlight visually.

Kindof like a ruby in the naval.

Did you just clean these off with brake cleaner beforehand, or some more heavy duty stuff?

I've seen painted calipers before, and thought they looked nice. This is a good reminder that they don't have to be that soft red-brown rust tint.

I'm still planning to paint mine red. I think it really dresses up the car. Nice job!

i would suggest the autozone brake cleaner stuff.. works great..
scrub the caliper down with steel wool prior to cleaning with the brake cleaner
two coats of brake caliper paint and your good for at least several years.

its all in the preparation.. nice job!

What size were the originals? My SEC had 15" wheels originally. I replaced those with 17" ones. Even those look like they could be larger.
