Mythbusters crashing their SDL tonight?

Looked like it in the previews. Love those guys!!

They've run it on veggie oil, turned it into a big subwoofer, weren't able to destroy it, looks like it's going into the demo-derby episode tonight (Discovery).

What a job.

Sigh. I've lost respect for them because of what they did to that car. It was in BEAUTIFUL condition when they first brought it in. A true shame. A perfect rust free W126 in good running condition. Even the interior was near perfect.

Its a 617/300SD though, not an SDL.

They should both be tasered for what they did to that car.

I like the "W124 adoption center" sig.

The episode is just starting, but I didn't see the SD in the preview.

I don't have TV....so I can't watch it. I figured that I only watched about 2-3 channels a few hours a week, so I was paying about $4 per show....not worth it. Plus cable internet connections suck.

So now I have much more inexpensive and much faster/way more reliable DSL!

And I can watch pretty much everything I did on TV....on Hulu.....piped to my TV....so little has changed, aside from less commercials and a lower bill!

Just got finished watching it. Pretty good episode. I didn't see the 300SD in this one, but I did see a pre-86 blue W201 that they smashed into a trailer. Odds are it wasn't a 190D, but the trunk badges were missing. I couldn't see anything that looked like a 60x in the wreckage either. Front end got destroyed, but the passenger compartment was left completely intact. I think the 300SD was pretty much finished after they used it for the "diesel powered subwoofer" episode.

They did drop a 90's Bimmer from 4000' with a Sikorsky though . It was pretty flat afterwords

Yeah, I saw the flatface wheel in a commercial, assumed it was the SDL, ... apparently it was an early 201 like Dale mentioned, not the SD (Paul's correction).

They did trash a couple of BMWs pretty well though. Worth watching, pretty amazing how flat a car gets when dropped 4000'.

They were testing common movie stunts to see if they're plausible.

They tried to send a W201 through a trailer, hoping it would come out the other end drivable.

At least they didn't drop it like they did with the BMWs

If they'd wanted to smash through a trailer, they should have tried jumping over the frame.
