Another European Headlight Question
Hello Gentlemen, I have have tried searching around but can't seem to find what I'm looking for.... My question is:
What is the size/type/part number of the 5 watt city light bulb for the European headlights for W123? Thanks in advance! Any help will be greatly appreciated!

I think it is a T8 4 watt bulb. I replaced mine with LEDs: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BA9s-T8-3-SMD-White-Super-Bright-LED-Light-Bulbs-2pcs_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ72Q3a1205Q7c66Q3a2Q7c65Q3a12Q7c39Q3a1Q7c240Q3a1318Q7c301Q3a1Q7c293Q 3a1Q7c294Q3a50QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem260389375253QQitemZ260389375253QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ 5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

Do the LEDs give any light to the side? I like the reflected look of incandescents myself.

It's a 12v mini bayonet style bulb #1893. I got that info from user POS, put them in my French W123 Euros, and they fit and run perfectly. Don't know about LEDs though....

A better, but more expensive upgrade, is to use the bulbs for the W124/W201 front map light. If you buy them new I think they cost $5 each (pretty expensive for a small bulb) but they're brighter and are 5W only, like the standard North American front side marker wattage.

Yes, they light up the reflector nicely. I have them wired as daytime running lights, which they are a bit dim for, but as city lights they would work great. Here is what they look like at dusk.
