Difference between 1986 300SDL and 1987 300D???

Do 1986 300 SDL and 1987 300D have same engine?? Thank you.

Generally, yes, as I recall. However, one is a tank (or boat, big car) and the other one is too small for me.

If numbers matter, the 300D would be a 603.960 and the SDL would be a 603.961.

But, as said above, there really is no difference.

There are some small differences in the vacuum systems, but for all intent and purpose they are the same. The W124 will get better economy and have quicker acceleration do to its lighter weight and better aerodynamics.

the main difference on the engine (well, accessories I guess) is the power steering pump. On the wagon it has an extra pump incorporated into it for the SLS.
