On the 85 TD what is the proper name of the
knuckle behind the passenger side front wheel,
towards the top?

Are you talking about the spindle? Which would be colored brown from rust unless its brand new, the spindle has a long, horn shape that goes up to the upper control arm, and also connects to the tie rod, or the upper control arm, which is aluminum colored, because its made out of aluminum?

If you reach over the top of the front tire, it
is that knuckle right there in the fenderwell.

I think that is what I am looking for.
Anybody have an exploded view of this area?
