I just received these:

They are a perfect replacement for the Hirschman masts and for $7 each postpaid are quite the bargain...thought I would pass it along here.

the description says 'up to years 1983', is there something you know that the seller doesn't?

I just had fun with this last weekend...
Trying to use a 1984 antenna in a 1981 assembly. Won't work.
The '84 on has a toothed antenna mast, whereas the 83 and down used a smoother mast. So this is actually a rare case of an ebay seller who knows his stuff, or his part #s at least.

I know that 83 was the last year the 123 was sold in the EU. I also know the one I have is from an 83 or earlier.

So what car did you order the masts for if they are for '83 and older W123's??
Do wagons and sedans use the same mast?
Sure need to fix the one on the '95, but that certainly is a different animal....

Yes, the mast is the same for the wagon and sedan of the same year range (pre-83 and post-83).

It's just different getting the whole shebang out on the wagon, especially when you find out the spare tire area was used for food leftovers by the previous owner.
