please advise on relay

i took mine apart and found a copper looking strip connector fuse looking thing that was burned up. each one supposedly is connected to a pin that is then connected to the connector which connects to the actual plugs. i was wondering if i could solder a copper piece onto it to make the connection complete. i really don't want to drop 140 bucks on a new relay. it is model number 007 545 1632. i found an off brand called hueco and part number 0125459032. they say it is a match and the picture looks the same as mine. any help would be appreciated. thanks
seth

A relay... which relay now? Oh, there's a p/n for a gp relay. They sell those 80a fuses here, you know.

And you should probably test the glowplugs for a short (just poke a multimeter in the connector for each of the five of them), otherwise your new fuse will also bust/your solder job would cause a fire.

The copper strip fuse is available separately for about $1. Take the advice and
check the glow plugs individually, then replace it.

i don't know

its not the strip fuse that you see on the outside of most relay pictures. there are 6 individual copper strip things inside of the relay. maybe it is a sorta fuse but i know its not that big silver one you're suppose to ohm out.
