You might also want to look into the clutch fan and make sure itís turning on when the car gets up to temperature. I replaced the t-stat, radiator and water pump and nothing helped with my 87 300sdl overheating. I finally took it into an indy shop and they told me it was the clutch fan. I replaced it and she stays right at 80 C. Itís something to check out if you still have problems.

I would feel around the radiator matrix with my hand to check for cool spots.

If your fan clutch were bad, the engine would overheat in stop and go traffic...while underway the air being forced through the matrix is enough alone.
