1979 240d, 146k miles.

1 second after starting - 3 bar
After 20 minutes, 2.25 - 2.5 bar
Anything above low idle pegs the needle on 3 bar, instantly.

Right now my car has 0-40 full synthetic.

3 - 3 bar warm at 1200+ rpm

Oil is Mobil1 0W-40
(I think the oil type and grade would be a very worthwhile addition to all these posts.)

1983 & 1984 300cd #s are the same-83 stopped at 233k,84 stopped at 244k
1) pegged

1985 300cd -stopped at 303k /newer motor and trannie
1) pegged
2) 1.9 bar
3) pegged
1985 300cd - 63k car- unusual rare low mileage car
1) pegged
2) pegged -not driven due to tags but ran for 20 minutes
3) pegged
All use rotella 15/40
The 190d car I sold always read alittle lower after warm up than the 300d model ,not sure why.

(Gauges from 1981 300SD so the oil pressure does not have a hard stop at 3bar)

#3 ) the car at 30 mph or more after 20 minutes of driving 3+bar (as soon as the engine revs over 1000RPM. the pressure goes right up)

310,664 mi when odo stopped
1) after 7-10 seconds climbs to 45 psi
2) after a good hard run up the hill drops to 30+
3) always pins guage right off idle

Schaeffers 5/40 9000 series full syn.

I think trere may be something wrong in my oil filter houseing?

2. 30 minutes of highway followed by idle pressure of 1.3-2.1 Bar (bouncing needle)
3. 3 Bar at 30 mph when warm or cold.

1. 3+ bar at cold start.
2. 1.6 bar 80 Deg Celsius eng temp at idle
3. 3+ bar at 20 when warm or cold in third.
