the 300D is off to its new home

Well, she's off to her new home and its to a forum member so she's in good hands. A fellow by the name of Keith bought her. He rolled up in a euro 300TD so all was well.

Keith with his new 300D

Nice car to a good home.

BTW - are you selling the house with the car or the car with the house.

So, are you going to trick that SDL out now that you've got some spare coin, Joe?

Ha... Not quite the Brawny Man, but I guess (based on the comments) I definately have to get to work on the self-leveling rear end on the wagon... Just got it a few months ago when I joined the Forum. Going to start a thread on it sometime soon... Its a 1 owner - bought at the dealer in Stuttgart and imported in 1985 with lots of goodies and really well maintained...

That was exactly my thought when I saw the picture of that wagon. Does it have the same SLS that the US cars have?

Yep, seems to be. Its not listing to one side or another just sagging overall. It gets better after running for a few minutes (can tell cause the side mirror view changes) but seems to go back down after the car is shut off for a few... Going to search some threads on how to tackle that issue. I'm sure many have been down that road before... Any good tips?

If it sags down after it's been shut off, chances are you need to rebuild the SLS valve out back. The seals get worn in it after time and leak internally. Not a hard job, and someone on the board sells kits, check the archives.

Two nice cars, congrats to you and the Don for finally getting rid of his nice looking lawn ornament!
