http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/groups/w123-300d-cd-td-turbo-diesel-manual-transmission-club.html
I thought I start this group since there wasn't one yet. Let's see how many we can sign up.

No, you need to get a 300 . . . It's a 300 club, not a 240 club . . .

That is not going to be easy. There are not many 300 with 4 spd. Probably most are Frankenstein jobs.

Frankenstein jobs can imply a poorly assembled hack job. Mine was carefully assembled and looks like it could have come from the factory.

Frankenstein job is the process of putting different car parts together and there is no judgment. If I wanted to say poorly done job I would have said Frankenstein's monster.

I thought he only made one and it turned out to be a monster. You do expect the product of the first attempt to be bad, right ? but it was a success.
Sorry, it looks like I am hyjacking your thread.

I think it should be a 300D manual club. I think there will be three W115 OM617 4 speeds.(once mine is done).

Hmm, maybe I should try to change it to allow all 617.95X manual conversions?
Opinions or should I keep it W123 only? EDIT: It doesn't look like I can change it.
