I don't know for sure. But I would certainly guess it is one.

I found a C* unit at the pull a part in winston, 3.50$. It's installed and working. I also went straight out of the jumped rheostat. It looks awesome.

Also, while I was there I discovered this QRG for the climate control. I'll try and upload it. I like the C* over F* because all the instructions are in C*. Something I learned was that the compressor cuts off even on the center button when ambient is below 2C* or 36F*

DeliveryValve,

Maybe I missed it in the post, but what did you use just behind the clear front lens as the border for the LCD display and to hide the screws and irregular surface of the display face?

Most of us can't see the pictures through the links.

I simply took the original film and exacto knife cut a hole to fit the display.

The w124 display fits much better in the cluster slot.

Jeremy5848 did a nice writeup on some info about w124 display.

Working great. I eventually swapped in a 124 gauge and also cut a whole in the darkened slip cover. Here is it just after my odometer turned 312k miles. I originally wired it so that the light always had power any time the key was on. When I switch to the 124 gauge I rewired it so that the light only comes on when I turn the headlights on.

Light Source

This is the location I used for the light hook-up. It's the same one the 126 uses.

This is a fantastic thread, I found it and it got me so inspired I just bought a w124 5 pin temp display and sensor! I am eagerly awaiting it in the mail, I'll post pics of the install. Thanks for the great detail in the thread guys, looking forward to following in your footsteps!
